Putting Yourself Back Together

I recently just came back from a vacation trip from Japan, and like most people, I had a lot of fun at the expense of some of my discipline. Although I tried to maintain as much as I could by trying to get a workout in whenever I could, eating more healthy foods, as well as eating less unhealthy foods. But to tell the truth, I still had fun, and was liberal with my routines. I woke up late, drank a lot more than usual, and just had fun. What’s the point of a vacation if you’re not going to live a little, right?

But the point is to always get back on track. So this post will be my attempt in doing so.

I have a two month period of free time, and I want to use these two months to achieve as much as possible. I have set a couple goals for myself to give me purpose for the 2 months. And they are…

  1. Do a split
  2. Be as fit as a pro-fighter
  3. Learn 10 Kanji characters(Chinese characters used in the Japanese Language) 5-6 days a week
  4. Make more higher quality videos

That is just the start. As I progress throughout these 2 months, I am sure that I will find more that I want to do along the way, but for now this is what I want to achieve.

Now… to make the daily routine to help me achieve these goals.

I plan to wake up early at 5:30 am. This is just a mental goal I want to achieve, and it just makes me feel like a productive bad-ass.

Stretch in the morning. I want to stretch for at least 15 minutes. Warm up, and get into my split stretch protocols as well as some basic mobility work.

After that, I want to get a work out in. I should start with a small run, do some jump rope, and do a main workout of Olympic ring work or weight lifting. Then I will finish with some shadow boxing.

After which I will get eat a healthy breakfast.  A vegetable shake and maybe some multi-grain cereal. And then onto the Kanji Characters.

After getting the kanji characters done, I will write a blog post, or at least work on a draft.

And finally, after all that is through, I will work on a video draft, and try to get something filmed, or prepare to film a video.

And in the midst of all this, try to hang out with friends during the process.

So the basic schedule of my daily life will look like this.

  • 5:30 AM Stretch/Workout
  • 6:30 AM Breakfast
  • 7:00 AM Kanji
  • 7:30 AM Blog Post
  • 8:15 AM Youtube Brainstorming
  • 8:15 AM- 11 PM Get Shit Done and End with another Stretching session

And throughout the day, I will probably plug in 2 more workouts, and shadow boxing sessions. But I think the morning is the most important part of the day, because it will outline how the rest of your day will proceed.

So let’s get it.
