Last post, I talked about the friend that we should all have. We all need a friend that will call us out on our bullshit, and tell us that we are not living up to our own potential. Because we are all bound to fail, we are all bound to let ourselves get comfortable, and therefore, soft.
And we all need that one person that believes in us, and knows that we are more capable than what we are doing, and force ourselves to realize this, and push ourselves because of it. I try to be that friend for the people I allow into my life, and I try to allow these types of people into my life.
However, that is easier said than done.
So I made a video making a clear example of exactly what that friend should be. If you feel like you are slacking, then please go ahead and watch this video. This is not your particular motivational video. I tried to actually talk to whoever is watching the video as though they are my friend.
The reason for the video, and I believe the reason for much of its authenticity is due to the fact that I had a similar conversation with another friend of mine the weekend before. He was going through tough times in his life, and was going down the road of drugs, alcohol, and depression. I decided to call him out, and tell him that he was not living up to his potential, and that he is wasting his time. And then of course I gave him my whole doctrine based on Tim Ferriss, Tony Robbins, and Jocko Willink, lol, but the point is, at the end of the conversation he told me that he was very thankful for what I said, and that he actually learned a lot.
So I decided, to try to distill that 1 hour and 30 minute phone call in to a quick 3-5 minute video.
So please enjoy~
