Do not be Discouraged: How to not get Discouraged

There will always be times where things do not go as planned. Your body will not listen to what you need, and it will perform poorly. Things will happen that are out of your control. Allow me to ask you this question. How should you react?


For most people, myself included, when things do not go their way, they get discouraged, and then angry, and then depressed. And most of the time, it is because of things that are outside of our control. So the question then becomes, “Why worry about things we have not control over?”.


And if you do decide to go down this line of questioning, I think you will find that there is no reason to worry.


One of the rules that I have placed on myself is to wake up as early as possible, naturally. I did not want to wake up to an alarm, due to the harmful affects it has on the body. And the ideal time for me was 5:30 am. And most of the time I woke up a little before that time, and it felt great. But today, I woke up at 7 am. Waking up at 5:30 is very important to me because that is  when I get all of  my most important work of the day done, and having that taken away, I have to push back a lot of other things just to get back on track. But I don’t worry.


If my body needed to sleep until 7, then by god, I will allow it to sleep till 7. There are a few things I will never compromise on, and one of them is my health. I woke up at 7 am. There is nothing I can do to change that, so instead of wasting time feeling discouraged, you and I should focus on what we can do.


Life is a game, and we have to be strategic. Don’t waste a move in non-action and self loathe. Take a step back, recollect, and see what you can do that is best for your situation.
